Allen has over 25 years of experience in clinical and pastoral care. He brings a deep heart for people in high-acuity environments and has been serving in hospital and hospice chaplaincy since 2019. Allen focuses on providing a calm, reassuring, and steady presence. A nondenominational Christian who grew up in Auburndale, Florida, Allen is passionate about providing compassionate, interfaith spiritual support to staff, patients and families of all backgrounds while navigating complex medical ethics. Outside of the hospital, he finds his joy in backpacking, spending time outdoors, and sharing life with his wife, grown children, and his beloved blue heeler, Bandit.
