Andy Eaker enters the Certified Educator Candidacy program with six years of clinical hospital experience. He draws on his previous work as a Disciples of Christ youth minister in Baltimore to enrich his connections with patients, families, and hospital staff through meaningful conversation and reflection. Andy began his journey in chaplaincy at Vanderbilt Children's as a Master of Divinity student at Vanderbilt University and continued CPE training at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore Maryland. He is an ordained minister through the Disciples of Christ. Recently, he has transplanted to Chapel Hill, where he happily lives in a cabin with his wife and cat!
