PRN Chaplain
Georgina is delighted to offer spiritual care in a clinical setting after a three-decade career as a Physician Assistant in obstetrics and gynecology. Considering entering people’s stories her greatest privilege, Georgina feels honored to be trusted with the emotional and spiritual aspects of patients’, families’, and staff’s wellbeing. She is passionate about cultivating human connection and offering empathetic presence in life’s most vulnerable moments and seasons—namely, loss, illness, and unexpected transitions. Her approach to care is trauma-sensitive and culturally-informed, assuring that spiritual support promotes healing and meaningful comfort. Being bicultural and bilingual as a border town native, Georgina enjoys providing services in both English and Spanish. She earned her Master of Divinity at Duke Divinity School, where she was a Theology, Medicine, and Culture fellow, and received her Clinical Pastoral Education at Duke Hospital.
