Interfaith Chapels

We have two interfaith chapels in our hospital open 24/7 for prayer, meditation, and quiet contemplation. Unless the chapel has been reserved (there will be signs out), please walk right in!

Duke Medicine Pavilion: On the main floor, inside the main entrance to your right just before Panera.

Duke North Tower: 6th floor between wings 6100 and 6200 (room 6260).

Each chapel has Muslim prayer rugs and Catholic tabernacles, and an assortment of religious literature from a variety of faith traditions. Both also have pianos/keyboards available.

Contact us if you're interested in reserving a chapel

Staff Care

Our Chaplains periodically visit the clinical units around the hospital to visit and care for our staff. In this picture, see two of our chaplains leading a "Tea for the Soul!" We love our staff and want to make sure they feel appreciated and supported for all the amazing work they do.

Grief Awareness

Every year, we set aside a week to remember the grief we have all experienced resulting from the loss of loved ones. We meet with staff and have tables with resources around the hospital, as well as host a grief symposium with speakers to discuss what it means to grieve well and support our communities.
